Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Short version: Pageturn PDF doesn't collect, store or share your personal data. The Android app has no internet permission at all, so your documents never leave your phone.
The Pageturn PDF app
- It can't go online. The app doesn't request the Android
INTERNETpermission, so it has no way to send anything anywhere. - Your PDFs stay put. You choose files with Android's file picker. They are read and displayed on your device only — never uploaded or copied elsewhere.
- What's saved, and where. Your recent-files list, highlights, sticky notes and reader settings (theme, page layout) are stored on your device inside the app's own storage. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling it removes them.
- Nothing is collected. No accounts, ads, analytics, crash reporting, advertising IDs or location data.
- Permissions. Only scoped access to the files you pick.
This website
- This website doesn't load analytics or advertising scripts, and the pages don't set cookies.
- Your browser's local storage keeps two small things: your light/dark choice, and a short-lived copy of the latest release details so we don't ask GitHub on every visit. Clear your browser data to remove them.
- To show the newest version, the page asks GitHub's API for the latest release. GitHub receives your IP address like any web request, under GitHub's privacy statement. The APK itself is downloaded from GitHub too.
- The site's hosting provider may keep standard server logs, as any host does.
